Well, Maddie is beginning the process of getting ready for braces! She got her 'butterflies' put in today on her upper and lower teeth. 'Butterflies' move the teeth a little to make room for other teeth. She talks a little different and it makes it harder to eat! She has a whole list of absolute No-No's:Starburst, jolly ranchers, nuts, popcorn, beef jerky, tootsie rolls, taffy, gum, ice...
That should be fun for the next several months!! ;) (especially with our 'New Moon' movie date coming up...no popcorn?!?!)

Poor Maddie!! I've been there as a patient and employee in a orthodonist office. I remember the uncomfortable feeling of it all and then years later seeing others go through it all. A few things I can tell you: Take Tylenol about an hour before going in for your monthly ortho visit (helps with the pain) Another stock up on soft foods like mashed potatoes !! Hang there ( so jealous you get to go see New Moon at 6pm... I'm going the next day with some friends! Love ya guys!!!
Hhahaa. Maddie, I know how you feel!! Braces are hard to get used to, but eventually it gets WAY easier. I said I wasn't going to chew gum with braces and I always chew gum now. I still haven't tested popcorn but... that will probably change when I see New Moon! ahaha. love you guys!

Poor Maddie! I remember Jason getting headgear AND breaking his arm in the same week. He looked so pathetic!
