Girl's Camp 2010! Part I

Well, it was Stake Girl's Camp this year so they don't really need a camp director so I just went as a chaperone!  It was a lot of fun!  It it nice being with Maddie at camp!  I hope to go next year too since Taylor will go for her first time next year! :)

We will just say that this year was VERY eventful!  The first night we had a fire!  Yes, a fire very close to us!  A lot of us leaders got right in there carrying 5 galloon buckets of water to douse the flames!  The fire dept. even showed up!  We are not sure how the fire started...

Then, we had ferocious winds and rain!  We were soaked!  And some of the tents leaked so some girls' sleeping bags got wet!

Then, we actually had snow! Yes, snow in June!  We figured if we had just had an earthquake we would have covered it all !!  ;)

GIRLS CAMP 2009

I was so lucky to be able to go with Maddie her first year of Girls Camp! She was so excited! I was made Assitant Camp Director (I have NO idea why--seeings as I HATE camping, at least the tent kind!) and Elisa was our Camp Director!

What a great group of girls we have in our ward! I was nervous for Maddie beginning a new ward and just starting Young Women! But they took her right in and she loves it!!

The camp was located in Happy Jack (what a name for a city) and it was gorgeous but cold! Yes, my down sleeping bag was a necessity up here in the mountains at night!

Our theme was 'Survivor' and we had such fun with it! We did the 'Survivor' logo on the t-shirts and the leaders skit was 'I'm a Survivor'! W

Of course girls camp isn't complete without the 'hair braids'!! ;)
