Emerie's Baptism

Emerie was baptized in Williams, AZ because our stake center had some construction going on.  It was an eventful day...  We left early to make the 1/2 hour drive to Williams and when we arrived we realized that we didn't have her baptism dress or the dress she wears afterwards!  Luckily Rock and Michele were on their way from Phoenix and had to drive thru Flagstaff to get to Williams.  We called them and had them stop at our house and grab it on their way.  This was a lifesaver and they made it just in time for the program to start!  Emerie was really nervous they weren't going to make it!

The rest of the day went off without a hitch.  We ate at the Grand Canyon Railway Station Cafe and then the guys took off for a golf tee-time at Elephant Rock in Williams.  The women all went back to hand out at the house!

Emerie was lucky to have both sets of grandparents and her family there to celebrate!

Twirly Skirts!

Taylor wanted the light blue and brown fabrics

I made these twirly skirts at a Relief Society Sewing class!  I let the kids choose the fabrics and away we went!  They weren't really that hard either!  They reminded me of the skirts my mom makes and the kids love wearing!

Emerie chose the bright colors!  And she had a cute shrug to go with it!
Payton chose the light pink and brown polka dot fabrics!

Well Care Checks for Payton and Emerie

I took Payton and Emerie to get their 4 year old and 8 year old well check-ups.  It was fun for them to have each other when they had to put on the gowns!

Dr. Bosch decided we might as well do Payton's Kindergarten shots since they can be done between 4 and 5 years old.  Payton wasn't too happy about that!

We decided to get ice cream to make everyone feel better!  :)

**We decided to get Emerie's throat swabbed because she had started to have a slight sore throat.  It turned out to be Strep.  Then we were back the next day because then Payton got it!  :(

This is what you get when you teach kids to crochet...

Taylor and Emerie crocheting on the couch
I taught Emerie and Taylor how to crochet after they found some crochet hooks and some yarn.  They haven't stopped making 'chains'!  I guess I need to teach them how to do the next row...

Taylor and Emerie get Orthodontict Impressions

Emerie with plaster all over her face
Emerie and Taylor had to get plaster impressions of their teeth for their pending mouth bars and butterflies next week!   They didn't know what was going to happen!  ;)

Maddie has had them before and so she knew what they were in for!  Taylor gagged and almost threw up!  ;)
The ladies there were so good with her!  She had tears running down her cheeks!  :(

Emerie LOVED it!  ;)   That is so her!  She smiled and said it tasted good!  That was good because they had to redo one of hers!

A little apprehensive before the procedure

Such a styling girl...just to go to the ortho!  :)

They also got spacers in their teeth getting their teeth ready for their appliances so Tay wanted to show hers off!

Cherry Pitting...Here We Come! :)

All the kids chipped in to pit the 24 lbs. of cherries!  :)
Through the Bountiful Baskets this week I was able to get a 24 lb. box of cherries for $26 which was a GREAT deal!  Now, just to figure out what to do with them...

Taylor volunteered (after I told her I would pay her) to pit all the cherries!  So, of course, Emerie and Payton wanted to help out too!  They de-stemmed the cherries and threw out any yucky ones!

Taylor had a great system going...it took about 3 hours!
So now I have frozen cherries...next to my frozen blueberries, strawberries and bananas!!
