Nutcracker!

Payton got to dance in the Nutcracker here in Flagstaff with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra!  She did so good!  The audience loved it when the "sheep" came out!  Nope, didn't know there were sheep in the Nutcracker either!  ;)

Payton is the one 6 over from the left!  :)

Payton Starts Dance Class

Payton started dance today!  She loves it!  She and Sadie go to dance together every Monday.  They get to be in the Nutcracker in December with the Flagstaff Symphony!

Payton's First Day of Preschool

Payton was so excited to start school!  She is in Miss Stephanie's preschool again this year but 2 days a week!  They do lots of hands-on crafts and cooking and Payton LOVES to go to school!  :)

Twirly Skirts!

Taylor wanted the light blue and brown fabrics

I made these twirly skirts at a Relief Society Sewing class!  I let the kids choose the fabrics and away we went!  They weren't really that hard either!  They reminded me of the skirts my mom makes and the kids love wearing!

Emerie chose the bright colors!  And she had a cute shrug to go with it!
Payton chose the light pink and brown polka dot fabrics!

Well Care Checks for Payton and Emerie

I took Payton and Emerie to get their 4 year old and 8 year old well check-ups.  It was fun for them to have each other when they had to put on the gowns!

Dr. Bosch decided we might as well do Payton's Kindergarten shots since they can be done between 4 and 5 years old.  Payton wasn't too happy about that!

We decided to get ice cream to make everyone feel better!  :)

**We decided to get Emerie's throat swabbed because she had started to have a slight sore throat.  It turned out to be Strep.  Then we were back the next day because then Payton got it!  :(

Payton loves her picture taken--she is such a poser! :)

Since I had taken so many pictures of the kids at the ortho, Payton wanted her picture taken too!
Maddie was dressing her up!
Wow!  She has about 5 puff skirts on under there!  ;)

Cherry Pitting...Here We Come! :)

All the kids chipped in to pit the 24 lbs. of cherries!  :)
Through the Bountiful Baskets this week I was able to get a 24 lb. box of cherries for $26 which was a GREAT deal!  Now, just to figure out what to do with them...

Taylor volunteered (after I told her I would pay her) to pit all the cherries!  So, of course, Emerie and Payton wanted to help out too!  They de-stemmed the cherries and threw out any yucky ones!

Taylor had a great system going...it took about 3 hours!
So now I have frozen cherries...next to my frozen blueberries, strawberries and bananas!!

Soccer Season 2010

Payton 'following' the ball!  ;)

We have 3 kids this year in soccer:  Taylor, Emerie and Payton.  It has been crazy with practices and games and the weather (the monsoon season this year has been brutal!) but a lot of fun!

Payton mostly just 'follows' the ball in an arc but rarely gets close to it!  She must just love running and following everyone else running!  ;)

I think she actually touched the ball this game!  ;)
Always the poser!

Taylor is a great soccer player!  Too bad she missed a couple games during our trip to UT and then missed a bunch (that we hope will be rescheduled) due to the monsoon rains!

Summer Slip-N-Slide

Emerie
The neighbors put up a slip-n-slide on our shared grass and the kids had a great time!  :)

Hair Bows Craft

Payton and Emerie making bows
We had such a good time making hair bows!  We saw Amber's blog about a bow party and decided to make some on our own!  We bought a bunch of flowers, all different colors.  We then took them apart and then stacked them with other colored flowers and a fun center jewel and attached it all to a clip and viola!  We ended up making 80 bows!!!  :)

Taylor's friend, Megan, came over and made a bunch too!
Taylor and Megan decided to put ALL the bows in their hair!

Payton and Hunter play at Summit Gymnastics

Summit Gymnastics has an 'Open Play' day so Heather and I took Hunter and Payton! They had a ball! There are trampolines, ropes, climbing things, and toys!

Payton was nervous at first but then she just jumped right in!

Hunter didn't want to go down the slide for the longest time,
but then we convinced him it was fun!
