It has been raining so much we weren't sure we were going to play games today!  But it looks like the rain let up enough this morning that we started playing our 8am game.  Well...it started raining a little during the first half.  Then...by the 3rd quarter it was POURING!  The kids were crying and refusing to play...so they called the game!  Come to find out after our game ended they cancelled games for the rest of the day!!

We have had so much rain here in Flagstaff there has been flooding everywhere!  I absently said to Kerb, "I wonder if we need to clean out our rain gutters?"  Well...it turns out YES! we needed to clean all the pine needles and crap out of them because they had clogged the downspout so all the water that should be going down the spout was overflowing into an area right by our front door!  There was so much coming off the roof and into that area it was going into the basement!  Into the furnace room...

So Kerby raced home--in the meantime Taylor and I found some empty plastic bins in the garage and tried to 'catch' most of the water!  Problem is, the buckets would fill-up in a couple minutes and then they were too heavy for us to carry!  So, we tried to 'divert' the water...setting up the snow sleds in a sort of water fall setup...it looked like white trash on our front porch!  ;)

Finally Kerb got home, changed his clothes and yes, in the rain and lightning he put up the ladder and unclogged the downspouts!  And with no time to spare...the water was heading into the bathroom off the furnace room!
