1) I was awakened AGAIN by barking and moaning by our next door neighbor's dog! There are NAU students renting the house next door. One of the student's parents is the owner. They put their dog out between 5 and 6 am I guess when they are leaving for class. The dang thing barks and moans--I am assuming because it wants to go back inside where it is warm--for a good long 30 minutes straight! I can't believe they just chain him up outside and leave knowing he is barking and moaning that early! I am not, and never have been, an early riser! If it was 7 or 8 am it was barking that is no big deal! But my kids all go to elementary school so they don't have to get up till about 7:30am. Okay--I am going on and on. Don't get me wrong, I do like dogs! Just not the kind that bark and wake me up in the morning!! ;)
2) I feel like we go to Basha's (Arizona's version of Harmon's) everyday! I go to the cupboard and find something not there that should be! We chucked a bunch of stuff before we moved. We also tried to use what we had so we didn't have to move as much. So, hence the need to restock our cupboards! We got the necessities written on the list and then I remembered we were low on diapers. I grabbed two packages and was about to put them in the cart and Kerby said, "Do we really need TWO?" I think deep down he feels Payton is close to potty training! I think not! I ask her each day if she wants to go on the potty and she says NO! Grandma even got a cute hot pink one and Payton won't even go near it yet! She is not quite 2 1/2 yet so we still have some time. So I put one of the packages back--mostly to satisfy Kerby knowing full well I would be back soon to buy another package or two. It wasn't until I got home and opened the package that I realized I had bought size 6 diapers!! Wow those things are HUGE!! Of course, now that the package is open I can't return it--so now what do I do with those huge things? I don't think any of my kids ever even got to a size 5 let alone a size 6!! I guess I could use them as nighttime diapers...?

We live with our own barking dogs everyday...poor Miranda family! They aren't dog people as much as we are, so we put up with it. BUT, I don't like the neighbors dogs to bark, mainly because it sounds really bad for me to yell SHUT UP to the their dog. I do yell SHUT UP to my own dogs, though, even if "Shut up" is "a bad word" in this house.
i would go and say something to those people that is rude. i am not fond of pets though. that is funny about the diapers. i can picture poor payton it probably covers her whole body. good thing you didnt buy two though because you would have had two things of size 6. i hate starting over. it is so expensive to move.
Hey I've created a blog for me & Ben and I added you guys I hope you dont mind.
I say call the police about the dogs. People aren't allowed to let their dogs bark that early when others are sleeping!
Size 6 diapers...kids should definitely be potty trained by then!
Your girls must be tiny 'cause Garrett wears 5's almost 6. As for the dogs just give Uncle Kerby a BB gun and let him use the dogs as target practice. It won't kill them, just sting a little.:)
So sorry to hear about the rough morning of barking. That's the worst. For us it's our neighbor that has the car alarm that goes off in the night. How is it that I can hear it perfectly several homes away yet they don't hear it for hours? Hum. I'm a huge dog fan too, but when they get you out of bed too early that's just not right. I hope it gets better. You're such a cutie . . . just write them one of your cute little notes and hopefully they will help.
Keep the diapers for you when you're almost 60 . . . put a note on the nieghbors' front door asking if they are aware of the barking - I don't think the cops can do anything, but it is a 'small town,' maybe they can. OR: Ask the neighbors' for the dog's name, then you can yell "Shut up, Fido!" and he might obey. Hope you get resolve, soon.
oh that stinks about the dogs, sorry to hear you're having to wake up so early! i am not a morning person either, i tried to be for years and then finally gave into needing my sleep! i like the note on the neighbor's door thing. you can absolutely call the cops by the way, i had to a couple of times on that lady that lived behind us in the old house....she would pass out from drinking too much and then never let her dog in, who would bark and bark and bark at 2AM! seriously, they were helpful, i'm sure you could call someone.
ok, so ethan isn't potty training either and i'm too tired to push him to do it. is that bad? :) wow, but he's a size 4 and i think they are big, size 6? i didn't even know they made them that large!
hee hee. ella is 18 months and has been in size six diapers for a couple of months now. i guess we just have bigger fannies than the bean girls!
